About the Unix Timestamp Converter
A Unix timestamp counts the seconds (or milliseconds) elapsed since 1 January 1970 00:00:00 UTC. It is the standard way to store time in databases, logs, APIs and JWT claims.
This epoch converter translates timestamps into UTC and local dates and converts dates back to timestamps, auto-detecting seconds vs. milliseconds.
How to use it
- Enter a Unix timestamp to see the date, or pick a date to see the timestamp.
- Use the Now button to get the current epoch time.
- Copy the value you need.
